BRENDAN R. O'BRIEN, ESQ             

A 1991 graduate of Tulane Law School, Mr. O'Brien's studies focused on Business Law and Oil and Gas. Mr. O'Brien is an experienced trial attorney who has managed every aspect of both Civil and Criminal trials. He has taken hundreds of cases to verdict and has thousands of hours of courtroom time. Mr. O'Brien has highly developed trial skills, from fact finding, witness preparation, research, drafting and litigation strategy, to negotiation and settlement strategy. Mr. O'Brien's litigation philosophy focuses on early, well researched, well planned counsel catered to each client's personal and business objectives.

Recently, Mr. O’Brien was an integral member of the litigation team that obtained the verdict against the Army Corps of Engineers in New Orleans for its negligence in causing insured property damage to the utility and infrastructure in the area east of the Industrial Canal during hurricane Katrina. Mr. O’Brien is working on the now pending Appeal of that matter. Mr. O’Brien will continue to assist in the upcoming trial against the Corps for the property damage inflicted in New Orleans’ Lower Ninth Ward by the negligence of the Corps in the Industrial Canal.

Mr. O'Brien’s experience is varied and extends to litigating contested probate matters as well as, negotiating and drafting contracts for various artists and producers with major international record labels; negotiating options for movie rights for independent film production companies and drafting licensing agreements for artists and fashion designers. As a sophisticated negotiator he brings broad knowledge of the subtleties inherent in complex business agreements to his entertainment and other creative business contracts.
